INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Using scripts for automation

To simplify the installation process, Miner Lite uses automation scripts.

The installation involves downloading and running a script called 'freeInstall.sh', which automates the configuration of the software.

This ensures a smooth and hassle-free installation experience for users.

Data required during installation

During the installation and registration process for the HASHBURST Web App, users are asked to enter specific data:

  • registration e-mail
  • API key (Apykey)
  • signature
  • password
  • cluster membership
  • reference DEALER code
  • DOGE wallet address
  • BTC wallet address

This information is necessary for the correct configuration and operation of Miner Lite.

Make sure you already have all this data before you start.

Installation Steps on Linux LITE 7.0 System

Installing Miner Lite on a Linux system is a simple process.

Users need only run a series of commands in a Linux terminal to complete the installation.

The document emphasises the simplicity of the installation process, making it accessible even to users with limited technical skills.

All procedures must

be performed from a PC

OK, let's start...

necessary information:

1) decide whether to use your usual email address or use a new one.

  • API (ApiKey): is transmitted by your reference Dealer and is a 40-character alphanumeric key; example: 'this12345serve345only68of945765example'.
  • Cluster membership: is transmitted by your Dealer of reference and is the Cluster membership zone; example: Como, or Milan, or other.
  • Reference DealerCode: is transmitted by your reference Dealer. It can be an abbreviation (e.g. MINA12-11) or a word indicating the Dealer's identifier (e.g. Green Mining).
  • In the drop-down menu all Dealers are displayed, (see image 'Dealer List') and you must select your reference.

Note: uppercase and lowercase letters must be respected

2) Prepare your Wallet addresses; pay-outs will be sent here

  • DOGE wallet address
  • BTC wallet address

3) Registration on HASHBURST; data to be entered:

password: during the registration phase, you will have to generate a password and save it, as this will be required to access your Dashboard.

signature: this will only appear after you have entered all data in the registration form and have given CONFIRMATION via the SEND button. Be careful because this data is not saved! You will have to do this yourself as soon as it is visible in the bottom left-hand corner!

OK! Now that you are clear on what you need, watch the video tutorials and then... get started!

HASHBURST Registration

1 - Read the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, because by REGISTERING you declare that you have read and understood them, and everything is date-stamped on blockchain.

2 - ONLY PERFORM THE PROCEDURE FROM A PC OR TABLET! With a mobile phone it is very easy to make mistakes and often the Signature does not appear. The Signature is a very important step; you can find it in the video tutorial here:

3 - Choose a password (there are no particular criteria) and copy/paste it from a saved document (in Word, email, notepad, etc.) as the password is not visible when entering it.

4 - Take a picture of the Signature when it appears in the bottom left-hand corner, and save.

5 - Finally, log in to the dashboard and check the status of the chosen device before and after start-up.

Wallet input

The Hashburst interface (non-custodial) directly connects mining pools with users' crypto protafogli (wallets), which can be taken from any exchange (CEX or DEX) or cold wallet.

For Monero (XRM), 'GUARDA WALLET ' is suggested. Guarda Wallet is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet that allows users to manage, exchange, purchase and staking a wide range of cryptocurrencies.

In the example, real addresses of users who have already had payouts have been entered. The entry procedure is not urgent (while Registration is) because the rewards produced and accumulated would not be lost anyway, but delivered in payout once the addresses have been entered.

The user 'pippoplutopaperino@gmail.com' was used, also in the video on Registration, to be able to show live real (anonymous) and working addresses that could not be traced back to anyone and was deleted at the end of these two videos.

REGISTER ON HASHBURST

After registering on HASHBURST you are ready to activate your MINER LITE licence

Thanks to the licence, you can use equipment considered obsolete and turn it into active nodes within our AI-orchestrated Proof of Work mining clusters. In this way, you can actively contribute to the network and also participate in pay-outs in a sustainable and efficient way.

You can do these steps using the PC/Notebook you normally use; here is what you need to get started

  • USB stick with at least 4GB
  • Rufus: Rufus is a free and portable software for Microsoft Windows, developed by Pete Batard, that allows you to create bootable USB sticks and format flash drives. It is particularly useful for installing operating systems such as Windows and Linux on computers without an optical drive or for repairing non-bootable operating systems.
  • LINUX LITE 7.0 ISO file: Linux Lite 7.0, codenamed 'Galena', is the latest version of this lightweight Linux distribution, based on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. It was officially released on 1 June 2024 and features several significant new features.

dQuick Guide:

  1. Download the: Get Rufus and the Linux Lite ISO image.
  2. Start Rufus: Connect a USB stick (minimum 4 GB, empty). Select the stick as device.
  3. Select ISO image: Loads the Linux Lite ISO image.
  4. Configure and start: Use the default settings and start. Confirm deletion of data.
  5. Complete operation: When finished, check the boot files on the stick.

Rebooting the PC

It may happen that due to loss of connection, power failure or other reasons the PC/Linux needs to be restarted. In this case, if the correct procedure was carried out the first time, there is no need to restart.

Just reopen 'Terminal' and type these 2 commands:

'cd Desktop/' and press 'enter'

'cd HashburstMiner && sudo bash startMiner.sh' and press 'enter'.
